The Voice Wins Ratings Clash Again

Simon Cowell reportedly cracking the whip with BGT staff...

The Voice has beaten Britain's Got Talent in the Saturday night ratings war for the second week running, audience figures have revealed.
The BBC's new talent search show had a whopping 2.1 million more viewers than its ITV rival during the 20-minute period when the two shows overlapped on Saturday night.
And Simon Cowell cracking the whip on his staff to try to close the gap.
A source said: "Simon has been working the team around the clock and ordering dozens of re-edits in a bid to improve the show.
"He wants every show to be better and better, but a lot of the strongest contestants have already been in the early shows. Staff are being pushed to breaking point because of this war.
"Executives hoped The Voice's audience would dwindle after the first show, but that has not been the case. For a long time Simon has been the king of reality TV, but these figures prove he's not the only man who knows how to create a hit."
The Voice peaked at 10.2 million viewers this weekend, with nine million of them staying tuned for the whole show.
BGT had a peak of 12 million and 9.9 million viewers throughout, but is in the more popular 8pm slot and lost out when the shows overlapped.
