Will.I.Am Defends His Coaching Style On The Voice
Black Eyed Peas star hits back at critics of his 'hands off' mentoring...
It has been reported that the Black Eyed Peas star left his acts alone to prepare for their performances on the hit BBC show, telling them to contact him via Twitter.
But The Mirror newspaper has quoted him defending his mentoring style, saying: "My coaching is, 'Hey, let’s talk'."
"I'm not worried. I don't get nervous about not being here. It all depends on how you coach. If you focus on trying to unlock the magic within you, there's no coach and no rehearsal which can bring that.
"There are people that rehearse loads and loads of times, and then, when they get on stage, they forget to bring the emotion."
And the paper also quoted a source on the show as backing him up.
The mole said: "Will is a brilliant coach – very much available to his team and passionate about coaching his artists. All the teams get the same rehearsal and coaching time scheduled."
In other The Voice news today, ITV have pushed back the start time of the Britain's Got Talent final on Saturday, 12 May, so that it will only clash with The Voice for 10 minutes.
