Will.I.Am In Trouble Over The Voice Tweeting
Viewers call The Voice coach 'incredibly rude' for tweeting during the show...
The Black Eyed Peas star was criticised by viewers for tweeting while his fellow coaches Jessie J, Tom Jones and Danny O'Donoghue were busy discussing Jaz Ellington's soulful Saturday night performance.
Eagle-eyed fans who spotted Will using his mobile phone accused him of looking 'bored' and branded him "incredibly rude" for using Twitter.
In response, Will tweeted: "If you saw me on my phone I wasn't being rude... I was connecting to people watching.
"TV, phone, laptop, & tablet.. its a new day...if I dont tweet during live tv Im not connecting to people watching in the new way thevoiceuk."
According to the Daily Star, Will ignored the floor manager's request to turn off the phone and it is thought bosses may now ban him from tweeting while on air.
However, Sam Buttery, who was booted off the BBC1 talent show on Sunday night, defended Will, telling the Daily Mail: "He should be able to use his phone. It's an interactive show and it should be about involving the public."
Will also came in for criticism at the weekend after it emerged that his team could only contact him via the social networking site.
