Telltale Games Say The Walking Dead Season Three Will Be Like Nothing Before
And it's coming this year.
For anyone that's a fan of The Walking Dead, or any of Telltale Games titles, the news that it's expected to announced the third season of the series will be more than welcome. The fact that it's going to be shockingly original is just a bonus.
Telltale Games makes role-playing, story-focused games and has had hits with Game of Thrones and Fables adaptations to name a few so far.
According to Mashable, Telltale Games is planning to announce the third installment of The Walking Dead at Comic Con this summer.
Straight from the mouth of the Telltale Games CEO, Kevin Bruner, the third season will take an "unexpected" approach. While fans might expect the myriad loose threads of the previous stories to be tied up, this isn't what's going to happen.
The goal with the third season is to pull in fans that love the show but might not have played the games yet. This suggests it will continue on from where the TV series leaves off.
Bruner says: "From a role-playing, interactive storytelling point of view, it is not from the bag of tricks that we've ever shown anybody before."
Telltale Games is currently working on its three part mini series Walking Dead: Michonne. Since she is a major character from the TV series it's likely the next season will also feature a character favourite to help fans transition smoothly.
Well, as smoothly as you can when transitioning from gore to more bloody mayhem.
