The Wanted and Michelle Keegan have called off their engagement, it has emerged.
The couple had got engaged last summer less than a year into their relationship - and are apparently still an item despite changing their minds about getting hitched.
The news slipped out when the band were being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest on US radio and Max was asked if it was true he was engaged, to which he replied: "No, no, no, not anymore."
And the line then went dead.
When he was back on the air, the 23-year-old was asked if he was enjoyng the "benefits" of being in a boy band, and he replied: "Absolutely."
But a spokesperson for actress Michelle later told Digital Spy: "Michelle and Max are still very much together as a couple, but they are both traditionalists and realised that there is no point in being engaged until they are in a position to plan a wedding."
Max later added on Twitter: "Hey everyone, so just to clear up any rumours, me and Shell are still very much together, just there is no wedding. The call got cut off and made it sound much worse."
