The Wanted & Adele Score Another Week At No.1

As Amy Winehouse makes a return to the charts following her death...

The Wanted have remained No.1 on the Adele managed to extend her chart-topping reign, achieving her 18th week in poll position.
LMFAO, who scored eighth position with their record, Amy Winehouse's music was catapulted back into the chart, as her 2006 sophomore album, Back To Black, leapt up the countdown to No.59, while also taking the top spot on the iTunes chart.

Her singles Back To Black and Rehab also re-entered the countdown at No.81 and No.181 respectively.

Official Charts Company's Martin Talbot stated: "For the world and British music to lose such a talent and icon yesterday is truly tragic and already the popularity of Amy's music with the British public is being demonstrated, with sales of her albums rocketing by 37 times over the past 24 hours - according to Official Charts Company data."
"While Amy has already had an impact on the Official Charts - seven hours is just 4% of the seven-day sales period monitored for the Official Charts - we would expect an even bigger impact to roll through over the coming days.
He added: "Such a demonstration of her popularity is the best tribute the British public can pay to this extraordinary British talent."
