The Wanted Challenge One Direction To Boxing Match
Max George suggests the boy bands settle their differences like men...
The fivesome came up with the radical approach to settling their scores during an interview with the New York Daily News - as they promoted their new US reality show The Wanted Life.
Max George said: "We would like a boxing match - them against us. It would be brilliant for TV and I have no problem with it at all.
"They've got 12 million followers on Twitter and I get that they have an army of kids. But instead of doing that if they have got an issue, why don't we actually do something financially - like make some money for a charity, and blow off some steam in a boxing ring.
"I don't think there is a better idea other than that I don't want anyone to get savagely hurt."
And bandmate Jay McGuinness admitted he didn't think they'd ever be best buds with the 1D boys.
"We haven't spoken. I think no matter how much you try to avoid it, people are always gearing up for, you know, what do you think of them, what do they think of you?
"It's going to be really hard to ever have a real friendship and we don't see them enough for that - we're not going to lose any sleep over it."
The Wanted and 1D have been involved in a series of Twitter spats in the past.
The Wanted Life premieres on E! today in the US and on 24 June on E! in the UK.
