The Wanted have confirmed reports that their new single is inspired by Bajan babe, Rihanna.
The lads have worked with Katy Perry producer Dr Luke on the track, which has been described as a "pure pop summer anthem".
Member Tom Parker said of the tune: "We are really excited about this single. We feel it’s a little different from the usual Wanted sound, we’ve stripped it back to pure pop, it’s just a feel good, fun track."
According to online source Wot You Got, lyrics from the song include: "She can't sing/ She can't dance/ But who cares?/ She walks like Rihanna."
The single includes vocals from Nathan Sykes who under went specialist surgery to correct a haemorrhaging vocal cord in Los Angeles last week.
The surgery went as planned however it is still uncertain when Nathan will be re-joining the band.
Walks Like Rihanna also comes complete with a tongue-in-cheek video which looks at what being in a boyband is all about, with Parker noting: "Fun is a good word to describe the video too. Let’s just say it’s got a lot of character.”
It was shot in LA and will be released on Tuesday, May 7.
Walks Like Rihanna will get its first play in the UK on Monday April 29, and will be released on June 23.
