The Wanted On Nathan Throat Surgery: "He's Doing Good"
Jay, Max, Siva & Tom say he's in 'better spirits' after his op...
The Wanted have discussed member Nathan Sykes recent throat surgery.
Last month, Sykes had specialist surgery to correct a haemorrhaging vocal cord in Los Angeles and has been forced to take a break from the boyband.
The Glad You Came group have since admitted that it is "weird" promoting their forthcoming reality TV series The Wanted Life without Nathan.
Tom Parker joked to E! News: "For the first time in three years in our careers we're actually on time to every interview, which is slightly strange. But yeah, obviously it's weird because we've never been apart."
"He's doing alright. We won't know probably for another month or so, until he actually makes a recovery and starts singing again. But he's doing good."
Jay McGuiness went on to add that Nathan is "definitely in better spirits" and is being treated by "the best people".
Max George noted: "He's only young as well so the chances are that he's going to be okay. Obviously there's always that underlying worry because it was a huge operation that he had, but the signs so far have been really good, so fingers crossed."
Siva Kaneswaran then joked that if Nathan did have to leave the band permanently they will "just get paid more", as McGuiness added: "Whether his vocal range is affected or his singing, then he's definitely always going to be a part of the group."
