Lindsay Lohan has been described as a "groupie" by The Wanted star Max George after the actress fuelled dating rumours by tweeting a snap of a hoodie apparently belonging to the singer - which she is said to have stolen.
The pair were first romantically linked after it emerged that George was in the same New York nightclub with LiLo on the night she was arrested on suspicion of assault.
Max later played down rumours that Lindsay's scrap had anything to do with him, calling the Liz & Dick star a "good girl" in a recent interview.
Lindsay was later spotted attending one of The Wanted's shows in Philadelphia, before the I Found You group are thought to have invited her on their tour bus, where she travelled with them to Boston.
The 26-year old has since sparked speculation that she is dating Max after tweeting a snap of what appears to be his hoodie, accompanied with the caption: "Missing something? @MaxTheWanted."
She also retweeted a message from Max saying that he was back in England, with George quoted by Us Weekly as saying that he was having "fun" with the Mean Girls star.
The Glad You Came hitmaker said: "She can party nearly as hard as we can. I'm sure she's got people around her that know much better than we do. We're probably not the best influences."
However, Max has seemed to dismiss rumours of a romance with Lohan, telling reporters at Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball that he was not dating LiLo.
According to Yahoo, he claimed: "No, what's the right word for her? A yeah, a groupie!", while George's bandmate Nathan Sykes joked: "She is probably hiding in our suitcase right now!"
