The Wanted's Max: One Direction Are For Children
He has compared 1D to clean-cut US pop group the Jonas Brothers...
George, who along with bandmates Jonas Brothers.
Speaking of One Direction's US success to The Metro, Max explained: "I’m not sure how well they’re actually doing yet. They’re more faces, if you know what I mean.
"I don’t think people really look at us over there as the same kind of band because I think people look at them more like a Jonas Brothers sort of band that are very TV and children’s magazine based. They make magazines instead of actually hearing them on the radio.
"I think our audience over there is sort of 18 to 25 or 30. We have a lot of radio play but I think we’re more of a music band."
Max went on to claim that The Wanted won't be hanging out with One Direction any time soon, stating: "We don’t talk. The X Factor family stick together. They’re very close, you know, all the X Factor contestants, and they kind of stay in that one circle normally."
Meanwhile, Max has also revealed that he was forced to call security after finding a girl hiding on The Wanted's tour bus in Las Vegas.
He told The Sun: "We found her on the bus and she was begging us to let her stay. I said to her, 'Well, you can, but you need to think really carefully about travelling with a bunch of lads.' Then I started to see things weren't right. She started to scare the s**t out of me, to be honest.
"She was a big girl from Wigan and it became one of the most scary things I've seen from a fan. I had been sort of joking with her but then she wouldn't leave the bus. She just refused to go. Security ended up coming and literally pulled her out."
