White Stripes One Second Gig

Fans in Canada are surprised as Jack and Meg hit the stage very briefly

The White Stripes have played a show in Canada that lasted less than one second!

The eccentric Detroit duo walked on stage at St Johns, Newfoundland on Monday afternoon and picked up their instruments.

Jack played one note on his guitar as Meg hit the drums and then the band were off.

Typically dressed in white and red the frontman then told the crowd: We have now officially played in every province and territory in Canada.

According to some reports fans were warned in advance that the gig would be short. We hope so or theyd have demanded their money back!

The White Stripes played an unusual show in London last month.
