The Who Confirm 50th Anniversary UK Tour Details
Roger Daltrey and Peter Townshend also reveal plans to record a new album...
Legendary band The Who have announced details of their 50th anniversary tour.
The My Generation hitmakers confirmed they'll hit the road in the UK this November and December, while also revealing plans to record a new album - their first in eight years - this summer.
The jaunt - which will also see The Who travel to North America next year - is apparently not a farewell tour despite member Roger Daltrey saying in a statement: "This is the beginning of a long goodbye."
Bandmate Peter Townshend went on to tease The Who's new material, letting slip that he's already given Daltrey three fresh new tracks.
He explained: "We might try to make the album in a more basic way than we usually do,"before adding that their new LP may be "more prog rock than pub rock".
Tickets for their UK gigs go on sale this Friday, July 4.
