Hugh Jackman is featured with his claws out in a new still picture from forthcoming superhero sequel The Wolverine.
The star is dressed in black in the new photo, which appears to have been taken in a Japanese garden.

A caption released with the image by 20th Century Fox reads simply: "There is nothing left to lose."
Based on a popular comic book series from 1982, the new movie sees Jackman's character Logan travelling to Japan to confront "a mysterious character from his past".
It also stars Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee.

The film opens in the UK on 26 July.
