Hugh Jackman is reported to have been in talks with 20th Century Fox execs over a sequel to this year's The Wolverine movie.
The Aussie actor, 45, is claimed by Deadline to be in line to reprise his role as the adamantium-clawed mutant - and director James Mangold is apparently in discussions to write the sequel.
The Wolverine performed strongly [uuid=2d0098b2-4b0d-4e24-ad76-597e3029c511]at the box office this summer[/uuid], becoming the second-highest grossing X-Men feature to date with a take of £257m globally.
Hugh had previously expressed his doubts about playing Logan/Wolverine again, but the sequel is unlikely to proceed without him on board.
Lauren Shuler Donner is reportedly attached to produce the new movie.
