Hugh Jackman Unhappy With First Wolverine Movie
Star admits he doesn't think X-Men Origins: Wolverine really worked...
Hugh Jackman has confessed that he was not entirely happy with his first solo movie outing as Wolverine.
The star, [uuid=15490510-3755-4210-bd3b-578c3f77868f]The Wolverine, told Entertainment Weekly that he didn't think 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine had succeeded in showing people more of Logan/Wolverine's character.
"I had something to prove, and we could have done better," he said. "Somehow the first Wolverine movie ended up looking like the fourth X-Men - just with different characters.
"I left unsure if we'd achieved our goal, which was to make sure people understood my character."
And he promised that the new movie will make up for that, adding: "Fingers crossed that we've done it this time. I'm pretty confident we have."
The Wolverine hits cinemas on 26 July.
