Lady Leshurr Inspires The Youths of Nottingham
MOBO nominee Lady Leshurr will be giving back to Nottingham’s youth community by headlining the Circuit Festival. Led by the Tate gallery, Circuit aims to provide opportunities to young people who have little or no access to the arts. Having started rapping from a young age, Leshurr is an inspirational headline act for the event aimed at 15-25 years olds.
Hot off the wheels from Queen Speech part 4, the Brum emcee describes this year as the “pinnacle of her career” and it’s definitley humbling to see her giving back to the community showing young people the versatility in UK Urban music today.
Hailed as one of the leading ladies of rap in the UK today, she has set the bar incredibly high for female emcees. Using social media as her weapon of choice, Lady Leshurr has gained a massive following through the likes of snapchat as her self-professed “banter” has seen her build her confidence and even bag a MOBO nominee. The Wrap Up is supporting her all the way in hoping that she grabs her MOBO award tonight.
Incase you miss tonight, see her performing on the November 6 at Circuit festival where she will be joined by BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ Jamz Supernova as well as long list of artists. This event will only serve as a warm up to Lady Leshurr’s forthcoming European tour.
It’s gonna be a mad ting!
