Adele ‘Drink Problem’ Revealed In New Biography
Singer Adele is one of the world’s biggest selling artists, but it appears she also has some skeletons in her closet. In a new biography, the singer has allegedly opened up about her problems with alcohol as she struggled with the pressures of fame….
In ‘Adele: The Biography’ written by Marc Shapiro, Adele reminisces about an incident on her first tour where she forgot the lyrics to one of her own songs and fell off her stool, stating: “I got so drunk by the time I went on at 2am I had forgotten the words to my own songs … It was the worst thing ever.”
The writer also goes on to reveal that Adele’s absent father was an alcoholic and in an interview with In Touch Weekly, describes her success as a “classic rags to riches story.”
In a story echoing that of fellow Brit School classmate Amy Winehouse; Shapiro goes on to claim that “Adele would drink more than normal to salve the heartbreak.”
Shapiro's unofficial Adele biography is scheduled to hit shelves on July 17.
