Adele: ‘Frank Ocean Is So Special’
The London-bred singer has too busy preparing for her baby to tweet, yet yesterday the ‘Someone Like You’ star took to the social networking site to post a message to Odd Future singer Frank Ocean. Adele showed her support, saying his album is “stunning…”
She wrote about the singers debut album ‘Channel Orange’, gushing: "Frank Ocean your so so special. Congratulations on such a STUNNING album x"
The pregnant superstar recently appeared in the Forbes Celebrities Under-30’s Rich List, hitting the list at number 6, just after Justin Bieber.
Whilst celebrities worldwide have praised the singer for his honesty and bravery, US retail store Target were a target of criticism this week as it was discovered that the store would not stock the singers’ album.
Frank’s manager noted on Twitter that the store has been known to support “non-equal rights organisations'', which is thought to reference an incident where Lady Gaga pulled out of an deluxe album deal with the store after discovering they supported anti-gay marriage.
Target defended themselves in a statement as a response, saying: "At Target, we focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, so our selection of new releases is dedicated to physical CDs rather than titles that are released digitally in advance of the street date.
"The claims made about Target's decision to not carry the Frank Ocean album are absolutely false. Target supports inclusivity and diversity in every aspect of our business. Our assortment decisions are based on a number of factors, including guest demand."
