Adele Wins Oscar For Bond Theme Song ‘Skyfall’
Adele was at the Oscar Awards last night, and the superstar was nominated for ‘Best Original Song’ for the Bond theme song that she recorded, ‘Skyfall’. Adele also performed the song at the award show – the first time she has publically performed since giving birth to her son last year. As expected, the ‘Rolling In The Deep’ singer later won the award that she was nominated for…
Adele took to the stage to accept her award, and whilst the singer is usually oblivious to her stardom, on this occasion her voice broke with tears as she attempted to thank everyone, including her boyfriend.
It was not only her friends, family, fans and Britain in general who was proud of her win – fellow celebrities such as Rihanna took time out to congratulate Adele, writing on Twitter “Jah Reign #Adele congrats on your first Oscar.”
After the awards took place, Adele was interviewed and when she was asked about what she would like to do next, she said "I dunno, maybe I'll do a HBO special like Beyonce did," before giggling.
