Adele’S ‘21’ To Be Re-Released With New Material?
Adele may be re-releasing her most recent album, '21', which will feature brand new material. The masterpiece has helped increase the percentage of British sales in the global music market, also giving us a record amount of sales in the USA this century. The stateside demand for UK music is thanks to Adele, Tinie Tempah and others, such as Florence and the Machine…
A source told The Daily Star Sunday that her bosses at XL Recordings would like to release it for Christmas time in hope that it will beat Queen’s record as the biggest-selling UK album of all time. The source said: "A repackaged album is currently being discussed.”It's not yet confirmed but it will feature new material or songs that didn't make the original album but it makes sense to bring it out."
Adele previously said that she probably won’t release another album for a couple of years, although new songs are expected to be released during this time. She told to NRJ Radio: "I never expected the success of my first album, let alone how many records '21' has sold. I don't really feel the pressure for the next record to be as big as my last one, it's not really possible. What's happened with ‘21’ is very rare anyway."
Adele is the fourth UK artist to have a global best-selling album in the past five years, after Amy Winehouse, Coldplay and amazingly, Susan Boyle.
