Adele’S Record Label Say Her Next Album ‘May Not Come For Some Years’
Given the amount of sales she has generated for the record label, it is almost certain that XL Recordings will not mind if Adele takes a long break before releasing her third album. According to NME, the London star, who revealed that she was pregnant earlier in the year, is said to have made the label 41 million in 2011 just from her album ‘21’ alone…
A spokesperson from the label told The New York Times: “The next Adele album may not come for some years, and it’s impossible to predict its likely sales. We therefore regard this year’s figures as exceptional.”
It was also said that the label saw their bank balance go from 3 million to 32 million within a year. The album looks after artists such as Tyler, The Creator, M.I.A and The XX.
