Amy Winehouse Boxset To Be Released In November
Amy Winehouse will be honoured further with the release of a boxset called ‘Amy Winehouse at the BBC’. The merchandise contains early radio sessions, her debut TV performance, interviews, unseen footage, unheard songs and covers and live versions of songs from her now-classic albums ‘Back To Black’ and ‘Frank’…
The star passed away in July 2011 at the age of 27 due to alcohol poisoning. The singers birthday just passed, which saw the Winehouse family say their final goodbye to their loved one. The family buried her ashes and revealed her black headstone with pink writing, alongside a picture of a songbird.
The boxset will be released in November and is sure to warm the hearts of fans.
According to The Sun, Nas said of his friend: “When I found out we lost her I felt a sense of creative emptiness in the world. It cut me so deep because I thought what she was put on the Earth to do wasn’t fully accomplished yet.
“After many days and nights of reflection sitting in the studio or at my home it really hit me. Her passing was a wake-up call to the world. It taught us all to not only appreciate life but to also not be afraid to express yourself, however you do it best.
“Her time on Earth may have been short but her impact on us all will last for many lifetimes to come. I love you Amy. We love you Amy.”
