Amy Winehouse Family Seeking Legal Advice Regarding Unqualified Coroner
Amy Winehouse’s family are said to be "shocked" following news that the coroner who oversaw the investigation into the tragic death of Amy has resigned amidst controversy that she was not fully qualified for the position...
The inquest into the singer’s death – which declared that Winehouse had died as a result of "misadventure"–may now be declared illegal. This is due to the fact that Suzanne Greenaway, the 30-year-old who presided over the inquest, was not fully qualified as a coroner.
"The Winehouse family is taking advice on the implications of this and will decide if any further discussion with the authorities is needed," revealed the statement issued by relatives.
Dr. Scott Reid, who appointed Mrs. Greenaway (his wife) has said: "In November, it became apparent I'd made an error in the appointment process. While I am confident that all of the inquests handled were done so correctly, I apologise if this matter causes distress."
