Amy Winehouse's Duet With Tony Bennett Will Be Released In September
Columbia Records have confirmed that Amy Winehouse’s final recording will be released next month with all sale proceeds from the single being donated to the late star’s own charity, The Amy Winehouse Foundation...
The foundation is currently in the process of being created by the late singer’s family and will aim to help the causes that Winehouse cared about the most: children, horses and young people who are struggling with drug abuse.
The single is titled ‘Body and Soul’ and sees Winehouse duet with the legendary singer, Tony Bennett. The track was recorded in London’s Abbey Road Studios and will feature on Bennett’s forthcoming album, ‘Duets II’. Other artists to guest on the album include, Queen Latifah, Mariah Carey and Lady GaGa.
Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, revealed that Amy was “so excited to be working with Tony Bennett” and that her voice was “as amazing as ever” on the track.
