Amy Winehouse’S Father Talks Holagram Gig
As it approaches the first year anniversary of his daughter’s death, father Mitch has been speaking about the legacy of Amy Winehouse and the idea of bringing her back as a hologram for a concert…
The trend has become widespread since Tupac was seen on stage earlier this year at the Californian Coachella festival. Speaking of the possibility, Mitch said to The Sun: “The most important thing to Amy was the music and I’m sure a lot of people would like to hear her sing again.
“It depends on what Amy’s fans want as a way to keep her memory alive. If it’s a book, an album or a hologram, then so be it.”
However, he admitted: “I can’t watch Amy on TV or listen to her songs, it’s really difficult.”
The tabloid also reported that the Amy Winehouse foundation are set to do a benefit gig in the near future. The star passed away on July 23, 2011 in her Camden home. As a marking of a year of loss, a portrait of the singer has been put on a display on the London Underground.
The Johan Andersson painting will be up for a limited time over July and can be seen on Platform one at Camden Underground Station.
