Azealia Banks Confirms Collaborations With Lady Gaga And Kanye West
Having previously hinted at a collaboration with ‘Mother Monster,’ on Twitter, lady of the moment Azealia Banks has recently confirmed that she is in fact working on some exciting new collaborative projects with Lady Gaga and Kanye West…
“I worked with Lady Gaga, but I worked with Lady Gaga from afar,” she recently revealed in an interview with Brazil’s Mix TV.
“We worked via email and via internet,” she said, adding: “We have a song called ‘Red Flame’ and a song called ‘Ratchet,’ but I don’t know what she’s doing with it. She’s going to release it when she wants to release it.”
But that wasn’t the only exciting collaborative announcement - Banks went on to reveal that she’s also been working in the studio with Kanye West.
“Working with Kanye was a lot of fun,” she said. “I just kind of went out to Hawaii for vacation, and he has a studio out there. It was just like, ‘You should really come to the studio,’ so I went to the studio and just worked it out.”
In related news, Lady Gaga is also said to be working on a slightly more genre defying collaboration with legendary jazz singer Tony Bennett, in a move that is suggested to result in a revived interest in the genre for young musicians.
