Beanie Sigel Admits Tax Fraud
Beanie Sigel faces three years in prison when he is sentenced on November 18, after he confessed to not filing taxes in the mid-2000s at a court in Philadelphia. Prosecutors claim he owes £350,000 from $1million of unreported income, but his lawyer – Fortunato Perri Jr. – plans to challenge that calculation...
The rapper, real name Dwight Grant, has previously served time on drug and weapons charges. However, he has since tried to give something back to his community by leading anti-violence rallies and speaking to high school students to warn them against a life of crime.
Sigel’s plight first became public knowledge last October when the Associated Press revealed the details of Sigel’s tax fraud from 2002 to 2004.
