Bet Bans Nicki Minaj’S New Video From Its Network?
Nicki Minaj’s new video, 'Stupid H*e', broke VEVO records by racking up an insane amount of views within a week of its premiere, but the colourful music video has allegedly been banned from BET for being too explicit. Apparently, the aggressive lyrics also played a part in the video being banned. Sources at the network told TMZ that the "ban was put in place because the video's just too explicit for TV..."
Nicki is also on the cover for this month’s issue of Wonderland Magazine and, despite her controversial image, the femcee admitted she is not the character she portrays on stage. She said to the magazine: "Obviously, what I would wear at home is not what I would wear up on stage. When I'm at home, it's a way more introspective character and the person people see on stage is anything but."
The Trinidadian star also spoke about a place that is very close to her heart, saying with a smile: "I was born in London in my past life, no one can tell me different. I probably was like a queen in London, I was probably the people’s queen that fought for lives and I probably started off as a maid and then was just, like, really revolutionary and moved all my Barbies into the big queen mansion."
