Beyoncé Pleased With Reaction To '4' From Fans Despite Illegal Leak
Despite being disappointed that her fourth solo album, ‘4’, was leaked online earlier this week, Beyoncé has taken to Facebook to explain her take on the situation and to express her delight that the album has been well-received by most of her fans...
“My music was leaked and while this is not how I wanted to present my new songs, I appreciate the positive response from my fans,” said Bey. “When I record music I always think about my fans singing every note and dancing to every beat. I make music to make people happy and I appreciate that everyone has been so anxious to hear my new songs.”
As word spread across the Internet on Tuesday that ‘4’ had been leaked, Beyoncé’s record label, Columbia Records, swiftly sprung into action and demanded that the illegal links to the album were removed. The album’s publisher, Sony Music, don’t expect the leak to dramatically affect sales of the album and are confidently planning to ship around one million copies of the album to stores in the US alone, ahead of its release on June 28.
