Beyoncé To Release Patriotic Charity Single
Following the death of the USA’s worst enemy, Osama Bin Laden, Beyoncé will play her part in helping to unite American citizens by releasing a cover version of Lee Greenwood’s slushy song, 'God Bless The USA'. Despite the questionable choice of song, Beyoncé’s motives cannot be called into question, as all proceeds from the single will be donated to various charities that offer vital support to the families of victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York...
The R&B star premiered the song last night on CNN’s 'Piers Morgan Tonight'. The Brit host was bowled over by the Texan diva’s version of the song: “I just listened to the Beyoncé song – and it’s stunning.”
Morgan also revealed via Twitter that this isn’t the first time that B has recorded the song: "Beyoncé first recorded 'God Bless The USA' in 2008 for the President Obama campaign, but never released it."
The single will be available for fans to download from iTunes and B’s official website, www.beyonce.com, later on today.
