Bobbi Kristina: “She’S Always With Me…”
Bobbi Kristina’s interview with Oprah aired in the US last night, and the touching interview didn’t leave a dry eye. Bobbi was Whitney Houston’s only child and therefore was named the sole heir to her estate. The 19-year-old spoke about how she has been coping, saying about her mother: "She's always with me..."
Bobbi added: "Her spirit is strong, it's a strong spirit. I feel her pass through me all the time. Sometimes, it's so surreal. I still walk into the house like, 'Mum?' But I’ve accepted it." The show also featured Pat Houston, Whitney’s sister-in-law and manager. She described her account of Whitney’s final hours, saying that she went out to run some errands and when she went back to check on Whitney, she "heard screaming."
When Pat entered the room, she saw Whitney's security guard desperately trying to revive her ahead of the paramedic’s arrival. He told her: "I tried." Pat went on to say that the legendary singer had "a peaceful look on her face." The cause of the singers death is yet to be revealed.
In the 90-minute interview, the family also spoke about Bobby Brown, with Whitney’s brother, Gary Houston, saying: "I loved Bobby Brown. Bobby was a good guy." However, he went on to admit: "I don't know how good they were for each other."
Although Whitney’s sibling spoke positively about Kristina’s father Bobby, TMZ recently reported that Bobbi Kristina now wants to be known as Kristina Houston. It was said that she initially wanted to change it five years ago when her parents divorced, but Whitney stopped her.
Kristina also went on to say that she wishes to continue her mother’s legacy by following in her footsteps. She told Oprah: "I still have a voice – yeah we are going to do the singing thing, we are going to do the singing and the acting."
