Craig David To Release New Music In 2013
Craig David is set to release an album in 2013, his first since the 2010 album ‘Signed, Sealed & Delivered’, a medley of motown covers – his last album with original hits came in 2007, in the form of ‘Trust Me’, which included ‘This Is The Girl’ featuring Kano…
Now, the singer has said his next album will have a "garage feel". David told Pardon My Blog: "The new album is what I'm working on right now with Marshall, hopefully for a 2013 release.
"It will take the R&B route as that is what I love; the direction is kind of a selection of songs that will eventually cement into an album. There is a garage feel on the album, just need to make the production a lot fresher for sure."
The British singer also spoke of his hopes to record with Drake – Drizzy previously claimed to be a fan of Craig’s, citing him as an inspiration.
"Weirdly enough over New Years was the first time we met. I think the guy is on top right now, he is a lyricist and has this R&B twist so when we met we had this mutual admiration for each other.
"We got introduced at a restaurant and we exchanged details and when I've got the right record at least now I have his contact. On a record with me and Drake we'd have to go all out."
