Did Misha B Fake It?
The X Factor’s Misha B has been accused of trying to get a sympathy vote this week after being one of the bottom two acts for two weeks running. Misha has previously spoken openly about her mother abandoning her as a baby due to her heroin addiction, which left her aunt to raise her when she was only 3 months old...
This weekend’s show saw Misha and her mentor, Kelly Rowland, in floods of tears, discussing her mother’s recent attempt to get back in contact with the young star. Kelly then began to speak about her own estranged father, and the whole thing got a bit too weepy for my taste and for many of the audience. One viewer tweeted: "These girls should get an Oscar for their performance."
Misha was a favourite to leave the show this weekend, but looked pleased and surprised to discover that her performance of emotional Whitney Houston’s 'I Have Nothing' saved her. Kelly admitted her vulnerability may have saved her.
Kelly said: "I think that Misha being more open just about herself and even as far as performing. When she performed she was so vulnerable, she allowed herself to be vulnerable and people really connected with her vulnerability on stage and her performance. It was just really magnetic."
Misha B has already hit back on the claims that her tears were fake, saying on Twitter: "Sob story? Fake Tears? Sorry to burst your bubble, but this you'll find is REAL LIFE!"
