Dizzee Rascal Talks New Music And Bigs Up Adele
Dizzee Rascal has said that he is working on a new album, which he described will be "a bit more worldly, but still fun." The grime pioneer has just returned to the UK after working in Los Angeles on some brand new material. He recently told the BBC: "I've spent more time on this one than I have the other ones. I'm relaxing. I've never had this much time off to just make an album at my leisure..."
Speaking on his slight absence from the scene, Dizzee said: "Having a year off to just chill, have a year off and have fun, not have to worry about was what I needed to do. No pressure. I went to LA for a holiday but I started bumping into people, started getting in the studios and ended up staying out there for three weeks."
The 27-year-old 'Boy In Da Corner' star also went on to big up Adele for her amazing triumph at this year’s Grammy Awards, saying: "It's good for her and good for UK music. It's wicked to be able to go over and do that. Obviously, at one stage we were label mates and I saw her when she'd just signed. The way she's rocketed it up now – it’s brilliant. It's real, it's natural."
