Drake Really Did 'start From The Bottom'
Drake was one of the many A-List attendees at the 2013 NBA All-Star Game yesterday (17) in Houston; the rapper stopped to talk to MTV News at the event, where he went on to talk about his new work which will be featured on his third forthcoming album ‘Nothing Was The Same’. Drizzy explained to reporters that he really had ‘Started From The Bottom’…
Talking of the track, he said: "The gist of it was kinda the back story of my life… I don't really speak on it that much, which kinda allows people the opportunity to make up what they want about me.
“I just wanted to make it known that I did work really hard to get here and it wasn't just a fluke and it wasn't easy by any means.”
The Toronto bred artist went on to talk about his loved ones who featured in the video - his mother and his friend producer 40 were just some of the familiar faces. “All the people in the video from my family to my friends, everybody worked really hard and we're just happy to be here.”
Drake really meant it when he said he was ‘happy to be here’, as he was later seen serving Beyonce and Jay-Z drinks where they sat.
Last week, the Young Money star was reportedly turned down at an LA nightclub as Chris Brown was already inside and Rihanna was later expected to turn up. According to TMZ, Drake was barred entry as security worried that another brawl may ensue following their incident last year. Sources told TMZ he took it well, and left without a scene.
