Ed Sheeran: “It’S The Best Job In The World…”
Ed Sheeran had a chat with The Guardian recently, telling them about his inevitable success, plans for marriage and that trademark hair. He also touched on his journey from sofa-hopping to being nominated at this year's BRIT Awards, confidently declaring that it was "exactly what I thought would happen..."
He said in the interview: "I didn't really expect it to take off with 'The A Team', because of what it's about, but ‘Lego House’, I kind of knew it would end up where it ended up if it got the right radio play. I just knew that I would end up in a position where the success would kind of take hold, so people would either think you were intensely cool for your success or people would think you were sh*t for your success."
The singer-song writer also spoke about being recognised just by his hair: "I have bright ginger hair...I went to Nando's with Tinie Tempah the other day. Tinie had a beanie hat on, and he didn't have his glasses on. We sat down and people were coming up to me and ignoring him. I was looking across at him, going, 'Do they know who you are?' And at one point, he just put his glasses on and everyone was like, 'Oh shit, it's Tinie Tempah!' It was kind of like Superman wearing a suit and then ripping it off."
Ed, who turned 21 today, also admitted that although he is young, he has planned way ahead, not only in his career, but his love life. He admitted: "I'd like to get married and have kids after the fourth album. I'd like to have kids and a wife and, you know, drop them off at school and like, do normal things rather that constantly being on tour. Because I'm young now and I haven't really got a social life, this is all I do. It's the best job in the world, but I'll get to the point where there's more to life than work."
