Eminem Wows The Crowd On His Bonnaroo Debut
Eminem capped off a hip-hop infused line-up at the sun-kissed Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee on Saturday. Lil Wayne, Big Boi and Wiz Khalifa had previously entertained the 80,000 strong festival crowd, but it was Eminem who stole the show with a fierce 90-minute set that seen guest appearances from Mr. Porter and Royce Da 5’9...
Slim Shady burst on to the stage and opened with ‘Won’t Back Down’ followed by '3 a.m'. He then suffered a technical hitch as his mic cut out during 'White Trash Party'. However, Em managed to battle through that unfortunate event and won further support from the thousands who had packed in to see him.
He then treated the crowd, who had enjoyed scorching temperatures of over 100 degrees earlier in the day, to performances of tracks from his recent ‘Recovery’ album and his extensive back catalogue. The adoring crowd were also given a taste of what to expect from the forthcoming album, ‘Hell: The Sequel EP’, as Mr Porter welcomed Royce Da 5’9 onstage to perform ‘Fast Lane’ alongside the Shady Records boss.
Eminem ended his set with an encore performance of the high-powered ‘Lose Yourself’, which was met with roars of approval from an ecstatic audience.
