Example Reveals Name Of New ‘Rock Album’
Outspoken rapper Example has unveiled the name of his upcoming fourth album as ‘The Evolution of Man’. The rapper, real name Elliot Gleave, teased fans earlier this week with the lead single ‘Say Nothing’, revealing the album has a rock feel. Speaking with BBC Radio 1, Gleave revealed that the album was a personal one and the inspiration behind the album was his decision to “stop behaving like a buffoon all the time..."
Example was keen to express his growth as an artist, indicating that he has taken a more mature approach to the recording process, saying: "It's about me evolving personally and the stuff I've gone through in the past year; growing up, settling down and me stop behaving like a buffoon all the time."
In the revealing interview, the singer confirms that he wrote the album during a prolific period and already named his latest piece of work prior to the release of 2011’s ‘Playing in the Shadows’.
Whilst speaking to NME, the rapper previously said of the album: "It's going to be a rock album but produced electronically - every track's got huge guitar riffs. I'm pretty much singing and trying to do impressions of Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters."
Example is set to debut another song called 'Perfect Replacement' when he performs at V Festival on August 18 and 19.
