Example Says After Kicking Drugs He Is 'aiming For Stadiums'
Rapper Example is on the comeback trail with his new album ‘The Evolution of Man’ and has set himself high hopes for the future. After conquering the charts over the past few years with his unique sound, the 30-year-old artist has revealed he aims to be as big as veteran rock band U2…
According to The Sun, the rapper – also known as Elliott Gleave - is hoping to achieve the feat after kicking his bad habits to the curb and adopting a more serious attitude towards his career.
The ‘Watch The Sun Come Up’ singer revealed he took a turning point after some strong words from his folks, stating: “My parents told me I was being a d***head. I was getting carried away with partying all the time – alcohol, drugs and women throwing themselves at me.”
Following some much needed therapy sessions, Gleave shared his high hopes for his upcoming rock infused record, sharing: “There are some really big riffs on my new album ‘Evolution Of Man.’
“Some of the guitar parts sound like Snow Patrol and U2 … I’m really aiming for stadiums now.”
Fans may have to wait a little longer to see Example’s U2 inspired stage show live, as the singer tweeted with ‘huge regret’ that he has been forced to cancel all October dates due to a bout of Achilles Tendonitis, saying that he is: “hoping to be back to full fitness asap to play my November/December shows.”
