Frank Ocean Drops Lawsuit Against Chris Brown After 'brawl'
Following their altercation at a recording studio in Los Angeles last week, Frank Ocean has decided to "choose sanity" and drop charges against fellow artist Chris Brown. According to NME, the argument soon turned ugly after the pair disputed over a parking space outside of the studio. The row, which took place on Sunday (January 27), apparently saw a six-man brawl where observers called for the help of sheriff's deputies after witnessing Chris punch the 'Channel Orange' artist…
Ocean later took to his Twitter account to inform his followers of the fight: "Got jumped by Chris and a couple guys. Lol. I only wish [Ocean's dog] Everest was there," he said. "Cut my finger now I can't play with two hands at the Grammys."
It was reported that Frank would be pressing charges for the injuries he had been given from Brown, however, the 25-year old has since had a change of heart; it would seem - he wrote the following on his Tumblr page.
"As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. But as a man I am not a killer. I'm an artist and a modern person. I'll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace."
The fight comes two years after the pair clashed on Twitter. This month will see the pair compete for the 'Best Urban Contemporary Album Award' at the 2013 Grammys, which takes place on February 10.
