Game Explains The Spitting Incident In Australia And Discusses New ‘F.i.v.e.’ Album
Following a recent incident which involved Game spitting on a fan in Australia, the rapper told XXLMag.com that he did indeed spit, but the spit didn’t actually hit the fan. He also said that he only spat in retaliation to heckling from the lady and her male friend at the meet-and-greet...
He said: "This girl and her dude were at the concert, and we had a meet-and-greet. It was like 100 people, plus we have to get to an after-party, so we [focused on] doing everything on schedule. You shake my hand; I sign one thing from each person and take a picture with each person. So, they wanted to hold up the line, and there’s other people behind ’em, and we got time constraints. They acting crazy, [saying], 'We paid all this money and we can’t even chill!’ I guess they wanted to chill, go back to the hotel and smoke with a n***a and be my kid’s godfather. So, security had to take them out because they got a little crazy."
Although the dispute didn't end there, Game went on to explain that while the twosome was escorted from the meet-and-greet, they managed to make their way to the after-party, where they also acted recklessly: "We go to the after-party and here are these same two people, they by the VIP [area], kind of doing the heckling shit, and throwing shit, throwing Red Bull cans. But ain’t none of it hitting me. The dude starts spitting loogies and drinking s**t and spitting it. The shit started getting closer and closer to where we was at. He keeps spittin’ and finally, the f*****g s**t hit me. So I went over and I f*****g spit."
Amidst the altercation with a fan and enjoying the buzz of his recent album, 'The R.E.D. Album', the rapper is getting ready to drop a video for the Kendrick Lamar-assisted 'The City'. He is also working on a new mixtape that is set for release later this month, and he’s already made plans for his next album. Talking to XXLMag.com, he dished that his new album will be called 'F.I.V.E.: Fear Is Victory's Evolution'.
Game said: "The meaning behind that is like--me as a rapper, you as a journalist, Kobe as a basketball player--you gotta be afraid to do something, or have those butterflies in your stomach," he explained about the title. "We all get that feeling. Before you did your first interview, you probably was like, 'Damn, I don't want to ask the wrong questions. I want to do this right.' Me, before I wrote my first rap, or the first time I was in the booth. Fear.
"But then fear is victory's evolution. After a while, you become a dope journalist, I become a dope rapper, Kobe is Kobe. You achieve and you pass over that fear. Now it ain't fear; it's just victory. It's victory of all. I'm gonna always come with a dope concept. "That's word to my *****Nas. I'm a huge fan of Nas, now he's like my brother in this s**t I'ma always try to keep my albums consistently tied into some kind of concept."
Explaining the meaning of the acronym in depth, the title represents the number album he has put out, being Game's fifth solo album. The rapper will fulfil his contractual obligations to Interscope with this project, even though he may not renew his contract and may proceed to a different label.
Game explained: "Jimmy Iovine is, s**t, probably weeks out from opening the budget for my fifth album, and then once I do this 'F.I.V.E...' album, it might be a wrap. We'll see. I know somebody going to give me some millions before I do anything. I see myself getting a lot of money to carry out the remaining time in my career. It don't really matter where it's at--it's just the imprint on the back of the album."
Despite having a new album title and a budget for the album, Game is not eager to suggest a release date, giving that his 'The R.E.D. Album' was pushed forward a number of times over the years. "I'm just hoping that I live another day to record," he said. "I'm not giving nobody no dates. F**k all that. It's gonna come out when it come out. See y'all then."
