Grime Aid Returns on June 15th In Response To The Somalian Crisis
Noisey presents this years Grime Aid in association with Road To Freedom, responding to the catastrophic events currently taking place in Somalia.
Previously in October 2015, Grime Aid hosted their first event with Caroline SM from XL Recordings and Road To Freedom where we saw Julie Adenuga host, as well as the likes of Chip, Cadet, WSTRN, Youngs Teflon and many more perform on the night which lead to raising over £2,000 which the RTF took to Serbia to distribute to refugees fleeing war.
Grime Aid in July 2016, in association with GRM Daily, Island Records and Road To Freedom was another success with Julie Adenuga hosting again and artists such as The Heavytrackerz, Abra Cadabra, Prezident T and Kojey Radical all joining forces to raise another £2,000 for the camp in Calais.
This year, hosted by Poet, the likes of Logan Sama, Bonkaz, P Money, Big Tobz, Donae'O and more (TBA) will come together for the night and try to raise as much money as possible for the refugee crisis and famine/conflict in Somalia.
The event will be taking place on June 15th from 6.30pm-11pm, and all funds raised on the night will be used to purchase aid and handed directly by the Road To Freedom team, to those who are in dire need.
Grime Aid will be held at Kamio (Shoreditch), so make sure you click here to grab yourself a ticket and party for a good cause.
