J Warner Kills Live EP Debut
The UK vocalist smashes live showcase of EST.1990...
J Warner stunned fans last night (23 March) with an incredible live debut of his forthcoming EP EST.1990. Performing at 229 The Venue in London, Warner gave a surge of life to fans with an electric show.
Accompanied by a live band and two amazing back-up vocalists, Warner’s impressive range and superstar energy stamped 2015 as the year for raw UK talent to shine. The superb singer/songwriter performed seven tracks from his upcoming EP, opening with ‘Live’, then hyping up the crowd with a rendition of Schoolboy Q’s ‘Studio’.
The humble artist gave the audience an unexpected treat by having backing vocalist Teni take centre stage and completely floor them with a sensational performance of ‘Being a Friend’. Warner bought it back to his roots with a skank inducing performance of Bob Marley’s hit ‘Stir it up’. He then slayed the audience and totally shut The Venue down, serving some killer vocals alongside the poetic sounds of supporting act Kojey Radical, to end the show with an explosive performance of his latest track ‘Chill Chase’ featuring rapper Wretch 32.
Warner, whose voice airs a sweet mix of Jodeci sexy and John Legend soul, says his sound combines an eclectic mix of musical influence; from grime, to gospel, hip hop to soul. His new body of work EST.1990 is due for official release on 23 April 2015 and will be available for free download.
