Jay-Z On Blue Ivy: “I Just Wanna Hang Out With Her...”
Following the birth of Blue Ivy, Jay-Z thought he would be so inspired by fatherhood that he'd be locked in the studio pouring his heart out over some emotional hip-hop beats. Instead, Jigga has been locked out of the studio because he just wants to "hang out" with his newborn...
Speaking on fatherhood, he told MTV News: "I thought I would be more inspired with all the new feelings and everything that I'd have to write about, but it really happened the other way. I just really wanna hang out with her. I just wanna enjoy those moments for a bit and I'm sure that feeling of music will come back to me."
In other news, the rapper will be headlining a two-day 'Budweiser Made In America' festival this September, set to take place in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park, and he wants to ask none other than President Barack Obama to perform, as in perform a song on stage, at the event.
Hov told Rolling Stone: "I'm gonna give him a call and I'm gonna try to get him to perform – do a little rendition of Al Green – but I doubt it. I think that opens up the political season. He'll be so far into helping the world that he probably won't have time, but I'm absolutely going to ask him."
The rapper also mentioned that his wife, Beyoncé, should have a gap in her schedule to make an appearance at the fete.
