Jay-Z Will Stream Final Brooklyn Gig Live Tonight
Jay-Z has been performing at the Brooklyn-based Barclays Center over the past week and was visibly proud of being the artist chosen to open the center; he also had a star-studded audience that included his wife Beyonce and protégé Rihanna, as well as her ex-boyfriend/friend Chris Brown. Tonight is the final night of the sold-out shows and to mark this, he will stream the performance online…
Jay will launch his ‘Life + Times’ channel on YouTube tonight at 9.30pm (2.30am UK time) where viewers worldwide will see the show.
The online channel holds the same title as his website and will see the mogul pair up with Iconic TV to bring his fans shows such as ‘Roc Nation Check-In’, documentaries like ‘The Road To Brooklyn’ and others.
Iconic TV co-founder Michael Hirschorn said in a statement: "His philosophy has always been to do things out of the box, do them first, do them in a surprising way. I think that's one of the main reasons he has kept his brand as fresh and robust as he has because he's constantly surprising the public with what he's doing.
“The site really is a way for Jay to showcase the breadth of his interests, from fashion, architecture, music, style, food, consumables, electronics, and so forth. We're approaching this channel and programming it, not at the level of an MTV – at least, not yet – but really programming it as a real channel that will have regular content, some featuring him, some under his creative direction."
