Jessie J Explains Why She Chose To Return To 'the Voice'
Jessie J has spoken about her decision to return to BBC show The Voice, saying the ‘diva’ in her made her reconsider. Speaking to The Huffington Post, the ‘Who You Are’ singer said: “I didn't want to turn on the TV and see someone else in my chair. That's the diva in me…”
Jessie postponed her tour to spend more time on working on her second album and for the series; which she admitted was a hard choice to make: "For me it was an amazing thing and a bad thing in that I was so confused in what I was going to put forward first. I had the opportunity to go and write a second album straight away, do an arena tour straight away or sign up for 'The Voice' again.”
Talking about her relationship with the media, she said that she hopes her fans do not believe everything they read in the papers, explaining: “I don't think there has ever been any show on TV where the girl hasn't had the diva stamp. I would never ever want anyone to think that's how I am.
“I have eight people in my team not 50, which is what was said in the paper. You can't win… I've realised it happens to women.”
