Katherine Jackson To Share Custody Of Mj’S Kids
Following a week of publicised drama from the Jackson family, Katherine Jackson has released a new statement declaring that she is open to sharing custody of Michael Jackson's children (Paris, Prince and Blanket) with her grandson, TJ Jackson…
Katherine's attorney Perry Sander spoke to TMZ about the current situation, saying that Katherine and TJ will file a request for joint guardianship in court early next week. The lawyer stated the new arrangement "reflected the wishes of [Michael Jackson's] children."
If everything goes as planned, TJ will be responsible for more of the day-to-day responsibilities. "Mrs. Jackson will then be freed up to focus on the more personal everyday decision making related to the lives and activities of the children," the lawyer said. The agreement will still empower Katherine to be in charge of the children's family allowance of $70,000 per month.
The news comes after a week in the headlines following various disputes that took place within the Jackson family. Janet Jackson has reportedly spoken out about the regret she feels for the involvement she had involving her 14-year-old niece, Paris Jackson.
A source told RadarOnline: "The public has seen a very different side of Janet this past week and she has to be regretting following Randy's advice. Janet is very much like Katherine in that she likes to keep a low profile, and not have family drama play out in the press."
The statement comes days after the two began arguing when Janet and her siblings arrived at 82-year-old Katherine Jacksons' home in Calabasas on July 23, where the children were staying.
According to TMZ, a source claimed that Janet called the 14-year-old a "spoiled little b***h" . Paris reportedly responded by telling Janet "this is our house, not the Jackson family house. Get the f**k out." Police arrived at the scene but no arrests were made.
