Kelly Rowland Reveals Title Of Third Solo Album
Kelly Rowland has followed in the footsteps of her close friend, Beyoncé, by revealing the title of her next album. Rowland has confirmed to Billboard that her third solo album will be titled, 'Here I Am'. Rowland’s announcement came just 24 hours after her fellow Destiny’s Child band mate had announced that her new album would be simply titled, '4'...
The ‘Stole’ singer explained her decision to call the album 'Here I Am': "I wanted people to know that this is the record, the sound I’ve been working toward… that here I am," she explained. "It just connected with my heart and the music as well. It stands for everything I’ve gone through and thought about for this record as a woman. It’s very strong."
'Here I Am' will be Rowland’s first album with Universal Motown following her departure from Colombia Records and her parting of company with her long-term manager, Matthew Knowles, in 2009.
Fans can expect appearances from several high-profile collaborators including RedOne, Ne-Yo and David Guetta.
A further announcement is expected imminently which will confirm a precise release date for the album. However, an autumn release looks certain.
