Lil Wayne Discusses Upcoming ‘Devol’ Album
With his last album, 'Tha Carter IV', certified double platinum, Lil Wayne has recently revealed that he is working on his own version of love songs on his new record. His forthcoming tenth studio album is set to be called, 'Devol'. "That’s 'loved' spelled backwards," said the hip-hop mogul on late-night talk show, Hip Hop POV. "It’s my version of love songs..."
The tracks are thought to be inspired by Weezy’s eight month stint in Rikers Island prison following charges of gun felony and marijuana possession. "What I mean by my version of love songs is meaning they’re not saying, 'I love you.' It’s all material I did when I was locked up."
'Devol' is slated for release later this year.
